Village of Island Lake Arbor Day Celebration 2012

The Village of Island Lake invites residents to commemorate Arbor Day at the 1st annual Arbor Day Celebration at Veterans Park, 10:00am, April 28th!

Trees have been graciously donated by Pine View Nursery in Woodstock and TTC Landscaping in Island Lake, adding to the beauty of our parks as we strive to complete our endeavor to become a Tree City USA.

This is all done as part of our commitment towards effective community forestry management and the promotion of environmental stewardship.

Also to be enjoyed, we will have light refreshments provided by Dunkin Donuts and served by the Girl Scouts, a song especially prepared for the event by the students at Creative Playtime Preschool, and a seedling giveaway generously donated by Brickman Group.

Special thanks to our many volunteers and donors that are working hard to make this community event a success!
