Judge: An elected or appointed public official with the
authority to hear and decide cases in a court of law. (Ref: Webster's New

Lawyer: A lawyer (attorney) is a person who is trained
in the law and is authorized to advise or represent others in legal

Police Officer: (Law Enforcement Officer) Any
employee of a local government agency who is primarily responsible for
prevention or detection of crime and the enforcement of the criminal code ,
traffic, or highway laws of this State or any political subdivision thereof.
