Island Lake Police - Email Notice
Due to the excessive amount of junk mail and spam, a general mailbox for the police department is impractical, time consuming, and just plain inconvenient. A special mailbox has been setup which is controlled with spam blockers. If you know how spam blockers work, you know that any address which does not match your acceptance list gets rejected, and the sender of the message gets a rejection notice sent to them. We will not add any email addresses to the acceptance list, so when you send an email you will receive a rejection notice. This does not mean we will not answer your email. Please do not feel offended when your email is rejected. This is the only way we can screen the mail and serve you efficiently without adding hundreds, perhaps thousands of names to an address list. Be assured that your email will be replied to, providing the received email is not obscene, lewd, or threatening to the department or its members, or the Village or its employees. These types of emails will be turned over to the detectives for a follow-up investigation. The email address for inquiries to the police department is:
(We are sorry, but we only answer messages written in English.)
